A life for art

I live for art. I always have. As a child naturally, I loved creating. I don’t remember when exactly drawing and painting hit my life but it must have been around the age of three the latest.
I recall how intrigued I was by the human shape and by faces reflecting souls – by the individual beauty, I perceive in every single being.

Soon enough, comics hit my reality and I began to invent stories told in sequential pictures.
Understanding and designing figures and capturing their character in shapes, styles, and expressions got a lot of my attention. My imagination would go wild and flow over with ideas over ideas that I wasn’t able to capture in the speed they appeared.

I crafted, painted, wrote stories and concepts but most of all I drew obsessively, day and night, whenever I had spare time to invest. Because I wanted to learn how to express what saw and felt in accurate ways. My lack of skill drove me crazy and angry, yet I never stopped trying.
And so the practice of art has taught me a lot of patience and lastly – after years of educating myself – the ability to bring to paper what sprang from my head and heart.

Art is everything to me, it is what makes me happy when I see it, what ignites my soul, what breathes me and makes me move forward. Art gives me life and has me feel alive.
It is my natural way of expression, my heartbeat, the way I see the world and the way I shape my dreams.

I believe that art is the closest way to expressing ourselves authentically in our own truth – be it directly or symbolically – without disguise, in infinite analogies. Therefore it is the most direct reflection of a soul.

My art is the continuous flow of life finding visual expression through me. It always changes its guise, appears in various settings, dynamics and shapes. It is alive and vivid as much as I am, we are, our world is.

Art is my way of expressing who I am, how I perceive, how I feel. Thus, it is the most authentic means of communicating myself and my interaction with my inside, my surrounding and others. It serves as extension of myself and my living.

Since my artistic expression is authentic, being born in the moment and allowed to change moment by moment, a reflection of frequencies that touch me and interlace with my being, there needs to be a range of variety to it so that I can stay true to the moment itself.

Words don’t suffice here, can easily get complicated and distract from the truth. So I’d rather not speak too much – but let my imagery speak for me and most importantly: be experienced by you. I know it will evoke something different in each of you and something equally different every time you watch – because everything changes with where we look from.

Let’s just say that this art is life. Flowing through fingers of a being utterly dedicated to living and sensing aliveness.
